Half an year. That was the time to do 10 thousand kilometers. All those days seemed like it was yesterday since my EV was brought from the dealership.
And what a pleasure it has been. The color of my EV is named Spring Cloud. And how appropriate that can be. The full experience of enjoying the car was like driving a cloud at… Spring.
Everything changed since last driving an ICE. No more mechanical noises. No more gas smells while stopping at fuel stations. Routine charging is executed while doing other jobs, so time spent with this task is not a problem.
Confort is top notch, reaching levels of 100k cars (experienced on real life by my SUV). Great interior with acceptable design and materials. The mixture of leather and fabrics on seats is well combined and solves some of the problems created by full leather. A touch of class is having 4 heated seats. It sure feels good on low temperatures.
Steering wheel has adjustable height and I guess the perfect size and thickness. It is also heated, and how delightful that can be on winter. This one is also the key element of Propilot and has its own life, when car is self driving.
Dashboard is half digital, and sure I could dismiss the analog odometer. However the multi-functional display brings all the information we need at real time. Data like speed, total and 2 trip kilometers, tire pressure, music and/or radio stations, self driving, instant and cumulative kW consumption, autonomy, timers for charging, level and state of health of battery, adaptive cruise control, exterior and battery temperature, lane assisting and many others that are all available by a touch of a steering wheel button.
The dashboard was also responsible to my self realizing of having reached 10k kilometers. If it wasn’t for it, that time would have passed like a thunder.
